The Law Enforcement Bureau is composed of the North & South Patrol Divisions, Criminal Investigations Division, and the Special Enforcement Division.

The North Patrol Division is responsible for providing uniformed deputies to manage and respond to calls for service, crime prevention and maintain order. The North Patrol Division consist of sixteen (16) beats that are geographically located north of SR20 (Canton Hwy & Buford Hwy). The precinct is located at 2310 Keith Bridge Road, inside Forsyth Central Park. The precinct is utilized by deputies 24 hours a day and is open to the public Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 7:00pm.

The North Patrol Division falls under the command of First Lieutenant Ben Finley. 1LT Finley has over 22 years of experience in law enforcement. He began his career in 1996 at Alpharetta Police Department as a detention officer. In 1997, 1LT Finley began his career at the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, as a sworn deputy, where he has worked numerous assignments from Patrol, Traffic/HEAT unit, Narcotics, SWAT, and Patrol Supervisor. In 2008, 1LT Finley joined the Johns Creek Police Department as an inaugural member of the newly formed agency and city. In 2017, 1LT Finley returned to Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office to be a precinct commander for Sheriff Ron Freeman.

*Precincts are open to the public and have medication\prescription pill drop off bins, for disposal of outdated, unused, or unneeded prescription drugs.
